Food that’s not only filling but brings the community together; that’s the vision that Try Healthy is creating within our kitchen.
Established for almost a century, our kitchen and surrounding amenities are currently undergoing a little “TLC” with a $300k+ retrofitting and refurbishment program that includes the new industrial kitchen, amenities area and dining hall. When finished, the kitchen will meet commercial standards comprising a large cool room, freezer, food warmers, two servery’s, juice presses as well as live-streaming and broadcast capabilities. It’s a purposeful design that places the wellbeing of the people we serve at its centre.
Our experience has taught us that it’s not enough to simply provide a hot meal for someone in need it’s also important to make people feel better too. Because when you feel better you make better decisions and better decisions lead to better life outcomes. So we are committed to serving food that’s vibrant and nourishing. We’ll highlight the role of plant based food that heals, reinvigorates and helps people glow from the inside – out.
But ultimately we want everyone who comes into our space to leave with one important insight; and that is that serving others is the secret to a life well lived.
