What
Try Healthy Limited (ABN 13641821848) is a community-focused not-for-profit social enterprise comprising a commercial kitchen, health food brand and volunteer organisation. We provide healthy food, educational resources, consumer-focused products and volunteering opportunities to serve the needs of the underprivileged across Sydney.
Why
As the largest city in Australia Sydney has become a vibrant and globally recognised metropolis. Yet a growing number of its residents struggle with the cost of living and accessing even the most basic of food items every day. Try Healthy creates free, nutritious and satisfying meals for underserved communities including families living below the poverty line, the aged, people living with long term illness or disability and the homeless.
How
The Try Healthy team have brought together a network of health and lifestyle professionals, food rescue providers and a volunteer workforce to create and deliver food that is not only tasty but good for you. The meals we provide will be distributed via a range of organisations including:
- The Adventist Development and Relief Agency Centre Blacktown,
- The Salvation Army,
- Oz Harvest
- The Way (Surry Hills)
as well as a number of refugee support organisations, domestic violence and Women’s shelters across the city.
We’ve also launched a health conscious, low cost eponymous range of health products including a 100% raw Australian yellow box honey to help raise funds to meet ongoing running costs and fund initiatives that make a positive impact in our local community.

We believe that doing good is good for you! So when people come together to help others in their community – that warm fuzzy feeling they get is multiplied by a factor of x10. That’s why Try Healthy is a volunteer- driven organisation and we strive to create new opportunities to “give back” and reverberate the “warm fuzzies” throughout the community at large.
